(NYSE: PII), announced a donation of more than $100,000 to off-road vehicles (ORV), all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and snowmobile organizations across the United States and Canada as a part of its TRAILS GRANTS program. The TRAILS GRANTS program focuses on promoting safe and responsible riding, supporting trail preservation, and helping protect the environment and natural resources that are a part of the off-road trail systems. Combined with the 14 2023 Spring TRAILS GRANTS recipients announced in April, Polaris has awarded 25 organizations in 19 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces a total of nearly $250,000 through this year’s TRAILS GRANTS program.

“The local riding groups are the backbone of the off-roading and snowmobiling communities,” said Steve Menneto, president of Off Road, Polaris. “The joy they find in riding and the work they put in so that others may have a similar experience truly embodies everything that is special about our industry. The collective impact of these organizations is far-reaching. Polaris is proud to amplify their efforts and celebrate those who are helping to preserve the outdoors for the next generation of riders through our TRAILS GRANTS program.”

These 11 organizations were named Fall 2023 TRAILS GRANTS recipients and received awards up to $10,000 each.

• Grand Lake Trail Grooming Inc. (Grand Lake, Colo.): Help support nightly grooming and maintenance on 85 miles of groomed snowmobile and multi-use winter trails in the Colorado mountains.

• Lexington Highlanders Snowmobile Club (Lexington Township, Maine): Help support the club’s project to re-establish a local bridge, enhance safety measures on 40 miles of trail and add culverts to decrease erosion and eliminate water crossings.

• Mollyockett Sportsman’s Club (West Paris, Maine): Help support the removal and replacement of a crucial bridge that connects two trail systems.

• Alborn Sno-Devils Inc (Alborn, Minn.): Help support the replacement and expansion of an old bridge to promote rider safety and protect natural water areas alongside the bridge.

• Woodtick Wheelers ATV/OHM Club (Hackensack, Minn.): Help purchase equipment to support safe riding through its youth ATV training.

• Lutsen TrailBreakers Snowmobile Club (Lutsen, Minn.): Help support the replacement of a main trail system bridge which was washed away in a recent storm.

• E C Riders Snowmobile Club Inc. (Mora, Minn.): Creating a new club trail to have a continuous section of trail and provide a more cohesive trail system, as well as help with equipment repair to help complete trail work.

• Great North Woods Riders ATV Club (Pittsburg, N.H.): Help repair damaged trails and implement changes to help prevent future flooding damage and erosion.

• Sno-Bees Snowmobile Club Inc (Barre, Vermont): Help support the replacement of 20 culverts and two bridges on a trail system impacted by recent flooding and mitigate future erosion.

• Sno-Eagles Inc. (Eagle River, Wis.): Help repair and re-route a local trail system. Projects include installing rocks and a culvert, regrading trails to limit erosion, and fixing fencing and signage where the trails were washed out and in need of repair.

• Thompson Valley ORV Club (Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada): Help replace trail maintenance equipment that was lost in a fire last winter.

“A part of our Club’s mission is to promote safe ATV riding for youths and adults throughout Cass County and surrounding Minnesota communities,” said Paul Vashro, president, Woodtick Wheelers ATV/OHM Club. “In addition to helping enhance education of safe riding overall, the grant will enable us to purchase a youth ATV that we can use as a part of our Youth ATV Safety Training classes, helping us enhance the hands-on learning experience for students.”

“The severe storms and torrential rains this summer wiped out our trails – over 50% of our trail system was devastated. Polaris was there to help with a generous grant. We would not have been able to start fixing our system this year without it,” said Dianne Matott, president, Great North Woods Riders ATV Club.

Since the start of the TRAILS GRANTS program in 2006, Polaris has supported more than 370 ATV, off-road and snowmobiling organizations across the U.S. and Canada with more than $3.3 million in donations.

Awarded twice annually, TRAILS grants support the efforts of nonprofit organizations and local riding clubs who use the grant for trail development, maintenance projects, safety and responsible riding education initiatives and other projects.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (December 27, 2023) – The 46th Edition of the Dakar Rally kicks off on January 5, 2024 in Saudi Arabia, and today Polaris Off Road announced it is joining forces with Sebastien Loeb Racing (SLR), as SLR drivers Xavier de Soultrait and Florent Vayssade contest the SSV T4 category behind the wheel of Polaris’ RZR Pro R Factory race machines. Backed by the full power and innovation of Polaris engineering, the SLR team is well-equipped to battle the unrelenting terrain of Dakar, where both man and machine will be pushed to the limit. 

Based on the revolutionary RZR Pro R platform, the all-new RZR Pro R Factory was unveiled earlier this year as the centerpiece for the Polaris Factory Racing team, setting a new precedent within the UTV industry with its race-ready level of power, strength, and control. Throughout the 2023 season, the vehicle and team have proven its superiority by dominating the competition and securing the SCORE Pro UTV Open Class Championship with wins at each of the four SCORE events – San Felipe 250, Baja 400, Baja 500, and Baja 1000. Now after a successful first season in the sands of Baja, Polaris will take the RZR Pro R Factory to Dakar for what is considered by many as the most grueling off-road race in the world.

Utilizing a high-strength, lightweight chassis compliant with FIA T4 Class, a race-tuned ProStar Fury 2.0L engine, FOX® 3.0 Live Valve X2 Internal Bypass shocks, the two SLR RZR Pro R Factory vehicles are stronger and more capable of withstanding the demands of the nearly 5,000-mile event. Additionally, the chassis has an integrated spare parts and tool storage supply, an imperative feature as there will be no pit crew, and drivers will need to make their own repairs while on the course.

“Our success with the Polaris Factory Racing team during its first season in the SCORE Baja racing series, capped off with a coveted Baja 1000 victory, was unprecedented and prodigious, but Dakar is an entirely different beast. International rally racing brings with it a variety of unique factors and demands on both drivers and vehicles that had to be addressed by the Polaris engineering team in terms of design considerations and modifications for the existing RZR Pro R Factory. Polaris engineers placed an emphasis on weight in order to meet the minimum requirement for Dakar, while also working to increase visibility and sightlines. Unlike the RZR Pro Factory vehicles utilized in the SCORE series in 2023, these vehicles have been equipped with full, heated glass windshields, wipers, a washer and a blower kit. Serviceability is also a huge factor in rally racing, with drivers required to make their own repairs during the race. For this reason, the engineering team developed added storage capacity for tools and spare parts.

In addition to SLR fielding two RZR Pro R Factory machines, the Xtremplus team of Shinsuke Umeda (2023 T4 vice-champions in the W2RC World Rally-Raid Championship), Michele Cinotto and Jorge Wagernfuhr will be equipped with race-modified RZR Pro Rs, along with the TH-Trucks Team of Enrico Gaspari, Daniel González Reina and Domingo Román Pardos who will also navigate the two-week event in RZR Pro Rs.

The Polaris-backed teams will tackle the world’s toughest race beginning January 5, 2024, in AlUla and finishing January 19, 2024, in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

One of America’s premier off-road races makes its triumphant return on January 10-14, as the 2024 Parker 400 sees top off-road racers return to action in the Arizona desert. This year’s Parker 400 is monumental not only for its new promoters at UNLTD Off-Road Racing, who will organize the historic event for the first time as part of their inaugural 2024 championship but also for the Town of Parker itself, which will host the race for its 50^th anniversary.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the return of the mighty Parker 400!” said UNLTD Off-Road Racing CEO Matt Martelli. “The entire community has been incredibly supportive as we’ve worked to bring off-road racing back to Parker where it belongs. We’re excited to bring UNLTD’s approach to off-road events here with a focus on community building and sustainability, from our Desert Clean-Up the week before the race to the Parker 400 Downtown Experience, before offering racers a true challenge in the desert. This year’s event began with Saturday’s Parker 400 Desert Clean-Up and Legends Rally Poker Run, as volunteers removed tons of trash from the Arizona desert and racers and enthusiasts alike took their pre-runners and other off-road vehicles out for a lap of the race course. Pre-running continues Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Parker 400 Downtown Experience takes over downtown Parker from 8AM to 5PM, with hundreds of racers and dozens of vendors on hand for tech and contingency events. The Start/Finish Line opens for qualifying at noon, with eligible UTV classes taking their runs at 2PM and car and truck classes following at 3PM.

Racing commences on Friday and Saturday with the opening of the Start/Finish Line at 7AM each day. Youth 1000 racers will kick off the action on Friday at 8AM, followed by the Parker 400 Limited Race at 9AM. On Saturday, the future stars of the sport will kick things off once again with Youth 170 competition at 8AM and Youth 250 racing at 8:35AM, before the Parker 400 Unlimited Race goes green at 9:30AM. The top classes in both the Unlimited and Limited races will do three laps of a challenging 143-mile course. Festivities will conclude with the Parker 400 Awards Ceremony at the BlueWater Resort on Sunday at 9AM.

The Parker 400 marks the first of three races on the 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series calendar. It will be followed by the BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 on March 6-10 in Las Vegas and the California 300 on October 2-6 in Barstow, California. The series is supported by a robust lineup of full-season partners including Magnaflow, Camburg, Vision Wheel, Cage WRX, and Rigid Industries.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (January 29, 2024) – The 2024 UTV racing season got underway this past weekend at King of the Hammers (KOH) with the 5th annual Desert Challenge, and Polaris Factory Racing continued the momentum from its dominant 2023 with Brock Heger and Max Eddy Jr. capturing first and second overall UTV in the B3 UTV Open class respectively. 

Piloting his RZR Pro R Factory, Heger, the 2023 SCORE UTV Pro Open Champion, was unstoppable throughout the weekend, finishing first in the prologue race and leading wire-to-wire during the final challenge to take the checkered flag. In his debut appearance as an official Polaris Factory Racing driver, Eddy Jr. put forth an inspiring performance in his RZR Pro R Factory, working his way through the pack to finish second overall behind his teammate. Rounding out the B3 UTV Open class podium sweep was fellow Polaris racer Wayne Matlock in his race-modified RZR Pro R. 

When the race got underway, Heger was quick off the line, taking the early lead and setting a blistering pace up front. Throughout the two-lap 182-mile race, Heger put his RZR Pro R Factory through its paces and the vehicle performed flawlessly, taking on everything the Johnson Valley terrain had to offer. Ultimately, with his lead expanded to nearly one minute during lap two, Heger navigated his way to a relatively easy victory. But things weren’t quite as smooth for Eddy Jr. A difficult prologue race found him starting the Desert Challenge in 14th, but the five-time Baja 1000 motorcycle champion showed exactly why he earned the seat for 2024 in the RZR Pro R Factory, slicing and dicing his way through a deep field to finish second overall. 

“We wanted to pick up where we left off and get our fifth consecutive victory and our fourth consecutive UTV Overall win, and it feels pretty incredible to do exactly that at an event as significant as Hammers,” said Heger. “With this event being more of an all-out sprint, it really demonstrated the incredible power of the RZR Pro R Factory, in addition to its overall strength and reliability. This vehicle, and our entire operation, is getting more and more dialed in with every race, and after all our success, it’s pretty amazing to think that we’re still improving.” 

“After four consecutive victories in 2023, it’s pretty mind-blowing to come out here and not only get another win, but sweep the podium with RZR Pro Rs at Hammers,” said Alex Scheuerell, Polaris Factory Racing Technical Director. “Our Factory Racing drivers are amazing, and it’s incredibly gratifying to see the RZR Pro R Factory dominating the field. But to have Wayne (Matlock) take the final podium spot in a modified stock Pro R further validates our Pro R platform as the best all around side-by-side in the game.”

RANGE AND MAINTENANCE
The nearly 13-gallon fuel tank provides a generous range between fill-ups, minimizing interruptions during tasks or allowing extended adventures on the trail. Positioned well away from the wheels, the fuel tank is shielded from potential impacts by flying debris, further enhanced by a protective steel guard.

Routine maintenance is achieved with easily located oil and air filter locations; the oil filter is easily accessed by removing the fender panel forward of the rear wheel.  The air filter on the RIDGE XR is located under the center console. On the RIDGE XR and RIDGE XR HVAC models the filter is accessed by lifting the armrest console and on the RIDGE XR Deluxe, the filter is accessed by lifting the passenger seat. 

CHASSIS

The RIDGE XR frame boasts a ladder-type construction, crafted from high-quality steel square tubes, ensuring a robust foundation. This design imparts highly predictable chassis performance and exceptional durability to the vehicle. High-strength material is strategically employed in high-load areas, such as the suspension mounting plates, reinforcing critical components.

Even while in motion, the vehicle offers a serene and calm interior, thanks to its low noise and low vibration features. This translates to a quiet composure inside the cab enhancing the overall driving experience.

The wide track significantly contributes to the vehicle’s stability while also maintaining a width of 64-inches for use on most trails. The highly composed chassis platform is further complemented by front and rear independent suspension, adding an extra layer of ride comfort for occupants.

The RIDGE XR has a high ground clearance of 14.5 inches (14.3-inches on HVAC model) at max preload and enhances accessibility during work or recreational activities but also ensures superb ride comfort by reducing the likelihood of scraping its bottom. This feature is particularly beneficial in navigating varied terrains. 

Bottom of Form

The RIDGE XR employs a double-wishbone suspension system both at the front and rear, allowing each wheel to navigate obstacles with minimal impact on the chassis. The shock absorbers, featuring single-rate springs on the front and dual-rate springs on the rear, complement the chassis’ balanced flexibility, delivering excellent bump absorption and rough road performance. This ground-hugging suspension excels at following the terrain, ensuring a smooth ride within the cab.

To enhance ride comfort, the suspension settings are designed to minimize chassis roll speed, providing a more composed experience for passengers. The long wheel travel of 12.7-inches front and rear contributes to high ground clearance and optimal ride comfort.

The cargo bed, measuring 35 x 49 x 12.8-inches with a load capacity of 1,000 lbs. is designed for substantial loads. Its flat design facilitates loading from three sides, and in models without a full cab, the cargo bed can be accessed from the cabin. Four built-in hooks provide convenient tie-down points. Additionally, the RIDGE XR boasts a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. and a standard 2-inch tow hitch receiver is compatible with a variety of accessory hitches. 

AUTOMOTIVE-INSPIRED FIT AND FINISH

The RIDGE XR boasts a premium exterior design to match its sporty and tough styling, featuring painted fenders and all-LED lighting. The front headlights, equipped with line-type LED position lamps, create a fierce expression, complemented by a large aluminum Kawasaki emblem on the front grille, a light-looking steel front bumper, and LED accent lights on the bumper shrouds.

Bright LED headlights (48.6 W / 22.2 W) with line-type LED position lights contribute to the fierce expression, and an air-scoop built into the front hood adds to the aggressive, sporty image. The automotive-style front grille, complemented by a large aluminum Kawasaki emblem and a black-painted steel front bumper, enhances the vehicle’s tough looks.

LED taillights with a pickup-truck-style design add to the car-quality fit and finish. Brightly colored suspension A-arms provide a striking contrast to the somber bodywork, enhancing the sporty and tough styling of the RIDGE XR.

The roomy cab of the RIDGE XR is designed for optimal ride comfort. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts offer support during hard riding and comfort during leisurely rides. Lever-adjustable seats and tilted steering wheel provide flexibility for the driver’s comfort and control. On the RIDGE XR Deluxe, contoured bench seating accommodates three people with a lever-adjustable driver’s seat.

The factory-standard full cab on the RIDGE® XR HVAC is equipped with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning offering a comfortable escape from extreme weather conditions. The full cab includes a glass windshield, full doors with power windows, a glass rear panel, a plastic roof with a roof liner, a windshield wiper and washer, a rearview mirror, and an interior ceiling light. Seal performance is excellent due to a reverse design approach, with the cab designed and engineered in conjunction with the rest of the vehicle, contributing to efficient climate control and passenger comfort.

The HVAC unit in the full cab includes multiple vents with mode selection, adjustable fan strength, a choice of fresh or recirculated air, and fast-acting temperature control. 

TFT COLOR INSTRUMENTATION

A large 7-inch high-grade full-color TFT LCD screen integrated into the automotive-inspired dashboard adds to the automotive-inspired quality of the RIDGE XR. Multiple selectable display modes offer customizable information presentation. The high-grade instrumentation includes infotainment features, such as three selectable display modes (Digital, Analog, Simple) and screen background options (black or white). The brightness adjusts automatically based on available light, with manual adjustments available for driver preference. LCD bonding technology minimizes glare for high clarity. When linked to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the instrument display indicates calls and messages received. Using the smartphone application RIDEOLOGY THE APP POWERSPORTS*, drivers can access vehicle information, log GPS routes, adjust instrument display settings, communicate, and share profiles and trip logs with other users. Compatibility is limited to iOS-type smartphones.

Polaris Factory Racing Team Expands 2024 Schedule to Eight Races, Adding King of the Hammers

Desert and Rock Events, the Mint 400, and Vegas to Reno

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (January 22, 2024) – With the 2024 UTV racing season kicking off with the King of the Hammers Desert Challenge this Sunday, Polaris Off Road is pleased to welcome Max Eddy Jr. to the Polaris Factory Racing lineup as the team’s fourth driver of record. Eddy Jr. is not new to Polaris or the factory program, having spent the past few seasons as co-driver for racing veteran and now SCI team principal Craig Scanlon. Now, for 2024, Eddy will take the reins and pilot his own race-ready RZR Pro R Factory vehicle at each of the team’s eight scheduled events. 

Eddy Jr. has built a reputation as one of the most notable motorcycle racers south of the border, having amassed an impressive resume, including five Baja 500 and five Baja 1000 victories and a Best in the Desert championship. After hanging up his motorcycle jersey, Eddy Jr. shifted his focus to four wheels and kick-started the next phase in his career by navigating for numerous trophy truck teams. He then found himself behind the wheel of a Polaris RZR and began making waves in UTV racing. Throughout the 2023 season, Eddy Jr. co-drove with Scanlon at all four SCORE championship events, highlighted by a victory at the San Felipe 250.

Following the KOH Desert Challenge this Sunday, January 28, the Polaris Factory Racing team will contest the UTV Hammers Championship Rock Race on Thursday, February 1, before shifting their focus to the Mint 400 March 6-10.
